Thanks to the closed lacing eyelets, it is suitable for skydiving. A wedge is built into the sole to protect the shoe during fast rope rappelling.
With proper use of LOWA Active cream and impregnation, the boot is sufficiently waterproof against light rain or dew while still maintaining breathability. Although the boots can easily be used in winter, they are not boots designed for high snow.
